Don't you consider it odd that most 'successful' business people do not have much of an academic background and certainly don't do an MBA?!

A. Well, remember that what you're doing with your instant MBA is a highly successful compromise between the academic world of higher education — which can sometimes have a disconnect with the world of business — and the business person who is entirely self-taught. I'm not saying that doing an MBA will make you successful or an excellent business person. I am saying that applying the ideas you study makes you highly likely to become so. Some are born with those ideas, people like Richard Branson; the rest of us (you and me) need to learn them.
